GE HealthCare has signed a 10-year, $500 million strategic alliance with Catholic Health, a deal that goes well beyond the traditional medical equipment sale.
The partnership will bring more than 1,300 pieces of technology across Catholic Health’s hospitals and ambulatory care locations, with roughly half expected to be deployed within the first three years.
But the bigger story is not the size of the equipment order.
It is the shift from transactional procurement to long-term health system transformation.

This is the latest in GE HealthCare’s growing portfolio of long-term “care alliances,” following partnerships with organizations including Sutter Health, OSF HealthCare and UC San Diego Health.
